Welcome! This is the homepage of PI Privatinvestor SICAV, Initiator of the Max Otte Multiple Opportunities Fund. The Max Otte Multiple Opportunities Fund is a focused, growth-oriented Multi- Asset-Fonds for professional Investors (AIF) with at least 100.000 Euro invested capital. The Max Otte Multiple Opportunities Fund offers professional Investors the opportunity to invest in a protected separate estate in a legally safe country at very fair terms and conditions to seize global opportunities according to the principles of my strategy. My objective is to safeguard and growth your wealth over the long term.
The Max Otte Multiple Opportunities Fund invests predominantly in stocks and stocks with warrants. This is the asset class with the largest long-term potential. The fund can hold up to 49 per cent of its volume in liquidity, bonds and precious metals in physical form in the safe of the Bank. The share of precious metals (gold, silver, platinum and palladium) is limited to 25 per cent. According to my purity law – derived from the German purity law for beer – the fund does not invest in derivatives. The fund can invest in a very focused way and can hold a very concentrated portfolio.
Since I became active for third parties in the capital markets in 1999, I have been inspired by the same mission: to establish a transparent and fair investment practice, to communicate open and without financial speak with my investors and to achieve outstanding returns for my investors without the use of financial derivatives. I practice value investing as pioneered by Benjamin Graham and Warren Buffett. High legal standards, manners and high levels of trust characteristic of a bygone era are the basis of my business style.

Back to my roots

For some time now, I have had the plan to initiate a fund in which I could realize my strategy 100 per cent. In the years in which I was allowed to advise the PI Global Value Fund (WKN: A0NE9G) without restrictions (March 2008 – February 2011), I massively outperformed the MSCI world – by 18.8 per cent in in 2009 and by 11.8 per cent in 2010. My total return in 2009 was 41.1 per cent and in 2010 28.3 per cent. After the PI Global Value Fonds was transformed into a UCITs IV vehicle, it was restricted to a more limited choice of investment options. It cannot, for example, invest in precious metals in physical form. The Max Otte Multiple Opportunities Fund has a far wider range of investment options.
I give the investment recommendations for the Max Otte Multiple Opportunities Fund personally 100%. I personally write the investment reports. Direct communication and absolute transparency are essential to me.

Safety

The fund is a separate estate, as are all regulated investment funds. Because of the option to hold precious metals in physical form in the vaults of the depositary institution in Liechtenstein, the fund can be optimally positioned to weather the next financial or world crisis. The principality of Liechtenstein ist a constitutional monarchy on democratic basis in the hear of Europe and has zero public debt. It is one of the safest countries on earth. Moodys and Standard & Poors give Liechtenstein a AAA rating. Liechtenstein is a member of the European Economic Area and also has a customs union with Switzerland, providing it with access and the advantages of both areas.

Fees

We wanted to establish an extremely lean fee structure. Ongoing costs for the fund company and the custodian amount to 0.6 to 0.7 of fund volume p.a. We only earn a fee as fund advisors if performance exceeds 4 per cent per annum. Then we receive one fourth of the return exceeding 4 percent (e.g. 1.5 per cent if we deliver a 10 per cent return). This is exactly the structure Warren Buffett chose for his first investment partnership.

Continuity and Service

The Max Otte Mulitple Opportunities Fund is a Investment Society with Variable Capital (SICAV), in which I hold a controlling majority. Thus I can control structures and contracts for service providers. The partners for the fund have been selected carefully so that I can look forward to long, trusting and stable business relationships. In case I am forced to change business partners, the fund will remain intact 100 per cent in its current structure.

The investors in the Max Otte Multiple Opportunities Fund are entrepreneurs and private investors which qualify as professional investors. Every year we are holding an exclusive investors meeting in Liechtenstein where I provide an account of the fund and its investments and we discuss the global investment outlook. Investors can build the network with like-minded investors.
